Our whiskey makers down in our Midleton Distillery have stuck their toes in the water (don’t worry that’s just figurative) once again to create Jameson Caskmates IPA Edition - blended Irish whiskey finished in craft Irish Pale Ale-seasoned barrels.

Nose:

Floral, herbal hops, grapefruit citrus notes with subtle orchard fruits, complemented by wood shavings and a little nuttiness.

Taste:

Hops and light citrus with sweet herbal notes and delicate spicy tones.

Finish:

The lingering fresh fruit and hops give way to grains of barley and a signature smooth finish.

Finished in craft beer barrels, this quaffable whiskey offers a bright topaz hue and bracing tropical fruit and grapefruit peel notes. Almond, bitter chocolate and clove tones linger on the exhale. Sip or mix.

Hoppy notes cloaking the crisp grains, green apple, and pomelo make for a happier marriage than its stout sibling. This is one of those whiskeys that continuously evolves in the mouth, progressing from a sweet, syrupy beginning of coconut macaroons, apple, and spices, to a creamier plateau of citrus, stewed fruits, and chocolate.
