During fermentation the wine rests gently for optimal extraction of noble tannins, which is important for a good development and ageing. Malolactic fermentation and maturation in 30 hl Slavonian wood barrels provides for structure, elegance and characteristic Nebbiolo austerity.

A licorice note frames the plum and cherry flavors in this rich, supple red. Hints of flowers and mineral add depth as the muscular tannins flex on the finish. Best from 2023 through 2042. 875 cases made, 260 cases imported. — BS
